The Governors of Lord Street Community Nursery School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dedicated and flexible individual for this key role in providing administrative and procedural advice to the school’s Governing Body.
A Clerk to Governors is a rewarding and effective way of making a contribution to your community and the lives of local young people. This role will suit somebody who has attained good organizational and office skills with previous experience of working in an administrative role; you may be retired, work part time or in a position to take on a role with a desire to make a difference. The successful candidate will need to have access to a computer, and the internet to prepare agendas and produce minutes. The clerk will need to become familiar with the DfE’s Governance Handbook, and provide accurate advice to governors as necessary.
The school’s full governing body usually holds 6 evening meetings per year. We also have 3 committees that meet 6 times a year during school hours. This role is term time only.
